Description
This workflow appears in the pivot menu and leverages Cohesity DataProtect to restore the selected virtual machine to its most recent backup snapshot. Supported observable: serial number.
Target: Cohesity DataProtect
Steps:
- Validate and convert the serial number (to a VMware UUID)
- Search for matching protection objects in Cohesity (end the workflow if 0 or more than 1 is found)
- Get a summary of snapshots for the object (if no summaries were returned, end the workflow)
- For each cluster the object belongs to:
- Get a snapshot summary and check if a viable snapshot is available (if so, store it in a local variable for later)
- For each cluster the object belongs to:
- Check if a snapshot was found (if not, end the workflow)
- Build the recovery request payload
- Request the recovery be performed (if it fails, end the workflow)
